Or in Callie’s case, a criminal.

In her vision, she sees herself murdering her gifted younger sister. Before she can process what it means, Callie is arrested and placed in Limbo―a prison for those destined to break the law. With the help of her childhood crush, Logan, a boy she hasn’t spoken to in five years, she escapes the hellish prison.

But on the run from her future, as well as the government, Callie sets in motion a chain of events that she hopes will change her fate. If not, she must figure out how to protect her sister from the biggest threat of all.

Callie herself

Review

If like me you love sci-fi TV shows, like Star Trek or Farscape, you know that when it's about time travelling things can be tricky, that's what makes this book a bit more complicated to follow.

Now, imagine that on your seventeenth birthday you receive a brief vision from our future. Would this vision change your prospective? Would you do anything to change it or make it possible that it became true?

Image that in the vision you've committed a crime and you got arrested for something you haven't done yet. Sounds familiar? Minority Report?

Yes, the concept is similar, but you won't have an adventure like Tom Cruise.

But of course we are talking about a dystopian society so nothing looks like it seems. We have the bad guys(in this case bad woman), we have the revolutionists and our brave protagonist, Callie, who is ready to fight for justice, or in this case for her sister.

As I keep reading dystopian novels I discover that the settings may change, but we almost always have the same key elements.

This book is not bad. Nice writing, good descriptions and I loved the characters.

It ends with a cliffhanger, so you might want to read it closed to the publication date of the second book.

  1. I've never heard of this book but it sounds interesting, I haven't read a lot of time travel books. I really love the cover.
