Review

Marissa Meyer has the great ability to take a classic story like  The Little Red Riding Hood, combine it with sci-fi and create this unique and propelling story.

I'm so glad I started this series. (okay, I'm a bit behind with the reviews, so I have to admit that I've already finished it! :P)

The story picks up from where we have left it. After the shocking (was it really?) revelation, Cinder is trying to escape from prison. She has help ( or she helps him!LOL) , a new character, Captain Thorne, a criminal who has deserted the military and stole a spaceship. It's because of the Spaceship that Cinder forms this alliance.

The particular beauty of this novel is that we follow two different story lines with two different characters. Here's Scarlet, a self-employed farmer in France. Her grandmother, Michelle Benoit, has been missing, and after failed attempts by the police to find her, Scarlet takes the matter into her hands and goes looking for her.  In her journey she is not alone. She is followed by a mysterious fighter by the name of Wolf.

You can't not love all these new characters. They all have great personality, they have incredible backstory, they come alive through the pages.

Scarlet is a great sequel to Cinder and the story is unfolding very well.
