Now the games he was playing have become all too real. Only weeks ago, Sinking into the Sleep was fun. The VirtNet combined the most cutting-edge technology and the most sophisticated gaming for a full mind-body experience. And it was Michael’s passion. But now every time Michael Sinks, he risks his life.

The games are over. The VirtNet has become a world of deadly consequences, and Kaine grows stronger by the day. The Mortality Doctrine—Kaine’s master plan—has nearly been realized, and little by little the line separating the virtual from the real is blurring. If Kaine succeeds, it will mean worldwide cyber domination. And it looks like Michael and his friends are the only ones who can put the monster back in the box—if Michael can figure out who his friends really are.

Review

Third and last book of the series. The story has come to an end, a bitter sweet end.

I didn't really enjoy this book as much as the others, it was the most confusing one.

The main theme is still there: Who can Michael trust?

The good guys are the bad guys; the bad guys are good guys... or maybe not.

The most shocking moment that I thought it was going to be solved and then it didn't?

.....

Well, let's just say that there is a main character death, which is new.

Yes, I know, big reveal. What else to say? If you started this series, you probably will want to finish it. I don't know if you will be disappointed, I was a little bit. Maybe, like I said, it was all the confusion, how they could manipulate the data and create and destroy the VirNet, and the central station where all the minds of the stolen human bodies were stored... like I said, confusing! LOL

I guess that's the beauty of the virtual world.

This book can miss in your collection if you want to complete the series.
